Johnny Bench belted two homers and Tony Perez poked one to power the Reds to 7-2 victory over the Phillies in a game halted by rain in the top half of the eighth inning. Perez accounted for the first of the Reds' two runs in the fourth. Bench's first homer of the game also was a bases-empty blow in the sixth, but his second smash came with two aboard in the seventh.
