Making his first start of the season, Jack Billingham pitched the Astros to a 5-0 victory over the Expos, who went down to their 10th straight defeat. Balor Moore, a 19-year-old rookie from Deer Park, Tex., a suburb of Houston, was the loser in his first major league start.
