Led by Ray Fosse, who drove in four runs, the Indians defeated the Brewers, 8-4, and spoiled the major league debut of Ray Peters, a rookie righthander from Portland (Pacific Coast), who was batted out in the third inning.

Fosse knocked in a run with a single in the third and homered with two on base in the sixth. Barry Moore, who started on the mound for the Indians, pitched to only one batter, Tommy Harper, who doubled, and then left the game complaining of a sore neck. The Indians used three more pitchers.
