Bullpen coach Doc Edwards, who was activated before the game because the Phillies were shorthanded for catchers, collected three hits and figured in the scoring of three runs to contribute to a 7-3 victory over the Astros. Edwards singled to set up a run in the second inning, drove in a run with another single in the fourth and beat out an infield chopper in the eighth when the Phillies iced the verdict with their final two tallies.
