Ending his personal four-game losing streak, Tom Seaver gave up only three hits and pitched the Mets to a 2-1 victory over the Astros. Tom Griffin extended his mastery of the Mets to 33 consecutive scoreless innings before his string was broken when Wayne Garrett homered in the fifth.
