Tony Perez and Bernie Carbo each homered with two men on base to support Jim McGlothlin, who yielded only three hits and pitched the Reds to a 7-0 victory over the Expos. Perez homered in the first inning after a single by Angel Bravo and a double by Pete Rose. Another double by Rose, a pass to Perez and a double by Johnny Bench added a run in the seventh before Carbo wrapped up the scoring with a round-tripper. [The Sporting News]
