Homers by Willie McCovey, Willie Mays and Ken Henderson carried the Giants to a 4-2 victory over the Pirates. After the Pirates rapped four consecutive singles for their runs in the first inning, Ron Hunt singled in the Giants' half and McCovey tied the score with a 450-foot smash. Mays and Henderson then broke the deadlock with their round-trippers in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
