Coach George Thomas, starting his first game since going on the active list, rapped two doubles and a single and scored three runs to spark the Red Sox to a 6-4 victory over the Twins. Thomas doubled and scored on an infield out and a wild pitch in the first inning, but the Twins went ahead, 3-1, before Thomas doubled again in the sixth to ignite a four-run outburst.
