Steve Dunning, fresh from the campus of Stanford University, made his pro debut and pitched five innings to receive credit for a victory when the Indians defeated the Brewers, 9-2. Dunning, the No. 1 choice of the Tribe in the June 4 free-agent draft, allowed five hits, including a two-run homer by Tommy Harper. Bob Miller finished the game for the rookie.
