The first Indians' pitcher, other than Sam McDowell, to turn in a complete game this season, Rich Hand traveled the route to beat the Angels, 9-2. Ray Fosse and Roy Foster each smashed a two-run homer to support the rookie righthander, who hurled a nine-hitter and drove in a run himself with a single in the sixth inning.
