Jim Perry, who pitched a six-hitter while collecting three singles himself, had plenty of batting support from his teammates as the Twins defeated the Senators, 7-3. George Mitterwald and Tony Oliva each homered with a man on base and Cesar Tovar drove in two runs with a triple. Leo Cardenas gathered four of the Twins' 12 hits.
