Scattering seven hits, Dick Drago pitched the Royals to a 5-1 victory over the Twins. A two-base error by Bobby Floyd and a single by Rod Carew for his third hit of the game gave the Twins an unearned run in the eighth inning to deprive Drago of a shutout.
