With Roy Foster smashing two homers, the Indians extended their winning streak to seven games by defeating the Tigers, 2-1. Steve Dunning, who started for the Indians, gave up a homer by Eatl Wilson among three hits in the first six innings before going out for Dean Chance, who gained credit for the victory.

After Wilson's wallop in the third, Foster tied the score in the Tribe's half and then whacked his second homer of the game for the winning run in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
