Five errors helped the Twins pile up an 11-2 victory over the Royals. Two wild throws led to the Twins' initial tally in the second inning and two more errors, together with three singles and a sacrifice fly, figured in the scoring of four runs in the fourth.

Harmon Killebrew homered in the fifth and the Twins wound up with the final five runs in the ninth when the Royals tossed in their fifth error of the game. Leo Cardenas had the big blow of the inning, driving in three runs with a double. [The Sporting News]
