. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A three-run homer by Bill Melton in the seventh inning and a three-run double by Syd O'Brien in the ninth carried the White Sox to a 7-3 victory over the Angels. Melton's homer followed an infield hit by Luis Aparicio and a pass to Carlos May. A double by Ed Herrmann, safe bunt by Tommy McCraw and a pass loaded the bases for O'Brien's double. Billy Cowan hit a two-run homer for the Angels. [The Sporting News]
