Tony Oliva, who had been sidelined for three games with a pulled thigh muscle, returned to action and helped bat the Twins to a 3-2 victory over the Brewers. Cesar Tovar singled in the fourth inning and completed the trip around the bases on an error, a sacrifice and a wild pitch. Oliva then doubled and scored on a single by Harmon Killebrew.

In the eighth, Tovar was hit by a pitch, stole second and counted the winning run on a single by Oliva. Bob Burda, who had a single and a double, scored the first run and batted in the second tally for the Brewers. [The Sporting News]
