Clyde Wright drove in four runs to help himself to victory as the Angels defeated the White Sox, 7-3. Wright hit singles for RBIs in the second and third innings and doubled to account for two more in the fifth. The lefthander failed to finish, however, giving up a homer by Tommy McCraw in the seventh and yielding a two-run smash by Beill Melton in the eighth before going out in favor of Ken Tatum. Sandy Alomar collected two singles for the Angels and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. [The Sporting News]
