Denny Lernaster batted in three runs with a single and his first homer of the year to help himself to victory as the Astros defeated the Dodgers, 6-2. Lemaster was lifted after walking the first two batters in the seventh inning. Jack DiLauro and Fred Gladding finished. Lemaster drove in the Astros' first two runs with a bases-loaded single in the second and then hit for the circuit in the seventh. Andy Kosco homered for the Dodgers. [The Sporting News]
