. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Senators, fresh from three come-from-behind victories over the Orioles, rallied for three runs with two out in the seventh inning to beat the Red Sox, 3-1. Sonny Siebert batted in the Red Sox run with a single in the second, but then paved way for his defeat by passing Aurelio Rodriguez and Bernie Allen with two out in the seventh. After Ed Brinkman singled to drive in the tying run, Vicente Romo relieved. Paul Casanova greeted the change in pitchers with a single, sending the Nats ahead, and the third run followed on a wild pitch by Romo. [The Sporting News]
