The Twins extended their winning streak to five games, breezing to an 8-2 victory over the White Sox behind the six-hit pitching of Jim Perry. The White Sox counted their pair in the first inning, but the Twins came right back with four runs on four hits, a walk, a wild pitch and an error. Cesar Tovar doubled and Danny Thompson singled for another run in the second and Harmon Killebrew iced the victory in fifth, hitting a homer with two men on base. [The Sporting News]
