. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Roberto Clemente broke a 2-2 tie with a homer in the eighth to provide the Pirates' deciding run in a 4-2 victory over the Phillies. After Clemente's clout, singles by Manny Sanguillen and Al Oliver, together with a groundout by Richie Hebner, added an insurance tally. Sanguillen, who had three hits, together with a sacrifice fly, batted in the Pirates' first two runs of the game. [The Sporting News]
