Buddy Bradford hit the first grand-slam homer of his major league career to cap a rally by the Indians, who scored five runs after two were out in the eighth inning to edge the Senators, 6-5. Roy Foster homered for the Indians in the first, but the Nats pulled out to a 5-1 lead, getting their last run on a round-tripper by Rick Reichardt in the eighth. In the Indians' half, a single by Foster, pass to Ray Fosse and single by Tony Horton plated one run before Chuck Hinton walked to load the bases for Bradford. [The Sporting News]
