| The Mets' seven-game winning streak was snapped with a 9-7 loss to the Expos. Coco Laboy batted in four runs for the Expos with two doubles and a single. Jerry Koosman drew the defeat, but the Expos scored their deciding pair off Ron Taylor in the ninth inning with the help of a passed ball on a third strike, a single by Ron Fairly, a squeeze bunt and two walks.
