. . . where the 1970s live forever!
With the backing of a two-run homer by Frank Howard, Dick Bosman pitched the Senators to a 2-1 victory over the Yankees. Ed Brinkman beat out a bunt in the third inning and Howard hit his homer to wreck the debut of Steve Kline, a 22-year-old righthander who came up from Syracuse (International). Bosman, who gave up four hits, yielded the Yankees' run in the fourth on a triple by Jerry Kenney and a sacrifice fly by Bobby Murcer. [The Sporting News]
