Singles by Hunt and Mays, together with a sacrifice fly by Jim Ray Hart, added to the Giants' lead in the ninth. The Astros' comeback began with a double by Jesus Alou, a wild pitch, a pass to Joe Morgan and singles by Jim Wynn and Bob Watson, tying the score.
