Led by Dick Allen, who drove in four runs, the Cardinals ended their eight-game losing streak by defeating the Braves, 11-6. The Cardinals started with a three-run homer by Allen in the first inning. Another trio followed in the third and three more scored in the fourth with the aid of a triple by Nelson Briles and a double by Allen. Hank Aaron accounted for three of the Braves' runs with a sacrifice fly and a homer.
