Coming from behind with three runs in the ninth inning, the Mets defeated the Dodgers, 4-3, to end a five-game losing streak. The Dodgers built up a 3-0 lead before the Mets counted once in the seventh on singles by Tommie Agee, Bud Harrelson and Ken Singleton. Ron Swoboda, pinch-hitting, and Agee led off with singles in the ninth.
