Jim Wynn hit a homer after a single by Joe Morgan in the 10th inning to carry the Astros to a 6-4 victory over the Pirates. The Astros also had a two-run homer by Cesar Cedeno, who connected in the fourth inning. The rookie outfielder helped set up another run with a single in the sixth when the Astros took a 4-2 lead. The Pirates came back in their half of the sixth on a double by Freddie Patek and pinch-single by Bill Mazeroski. Dave Cash walked in the eighth, Willie Stargell singled and Manny Sanguillen lofted a sacrifice fly to tie the score. [The Sporting News]
