A three-run homer by Jim Wynn and two-run drives by Johnny Edwards and Doug Rader powered the Astros to a 10-4 victory over the Cubs. Wynn's smash in the first inning followed a single by Jesus Alou and a pass to Joe Morgan. Edwards hammered his homer after a single by Cesar Cedeno in the sixth. The Cubs came back with all their runs in the home half on a homer by Al Spangler, two singles and a circuit clout by Ron Santo. The Astros wrapped up the victory with four runs in the ninth, two counting on Rader's rap and another scoring on a single by Edwards for his third RBI. [The Sporting News]
