Bob Oliver hit his second two-run homer of the game, connecting with two out in the ninth inning, to lift the Royals to a 7-6 victory over the Tigers. A single by Gates Brown and circuit clout by Norm Cash gave the Tigers a 6-5 lead in the eighth before the Royals came back to win when Lou Piniella singled and Oliver followed with his homer.
