The Twins snapped Sam McDowell's seven game winning streak by scoring three runs after two were out in the seventh inning to defeat the Indians, 5-2. Brant Alyea homered for the Twins in the fourth, but the Indians held a 2-1 lead going into the seventh. Danny Thompson led off with a single and was forced by Cesar Tovar. After Frank Quilici popped up, Rick Renick doubled to tie the score and Harmon Killebrew homered to send the Twins ahead. [The Sporting News]
