Willie Stargell smashed two homers and three doubles, tying the major league record for most extra-base hits in one game, to lead the Pirates' slugging in a 20-10 victory over the Braves. In the seventh inning, Bob Robertson, Stargell and Jose Pagan hit consecutive homers for the Pirates and Hank Aaron and Rico Carty rapped back-to-back drives for the Braves, tying the record for the most homers by two clubs in one inning.
