The Brewers broke a tie with two runs in the seventh inning and added two more on a homer by Ted Savage in the eighth to gain a 9-5 victory over the Yankees, who were stopped on their six-game winning streak. In the seventh, Savage walked, Danny Walton was hit by a pitch and Roberto Pena beat out a bunt to load the bases. Phil Roof singled for the tie-breaking tally and another run scored on an infield out by Ted Kubiak. [The Sporting News]
