. . . where the 1970s live forever!
The slugging of Bob Robertson and Johnny Jeter, who batted in 10 runs between them, powered the Pirates to a 10-7 victory over the Braves and lifted them into first place in the Eastern division ahead of the Mets. Robertson drove in six runs with two homers and a double, while Jeter accounted for the other four with a homer and single. The Braves had homers by Hank Aaron, Jimmie Hall and Mike Lum. Aaron also hit a single and batted in four runs. [The Sporting News]
