Thurman Munson and Bobby Murcer hit two-run homers off Sam McDowell in the fifth inning to power the Yankees to a 7-3 victory over the Indians. Munson's homer followed a single by Horace Clarke. After a pass to Roy White and forceout by Danny Cater, Murcer also hit for the circuit. Ray Fosse homered with two men on base in the sixth to account for the Indians' tallies. [The Sporting News]
