The White Sox loaded the bases in the fourth and took a 3-1 lead on a two-run single by Ken Berry and sacrifice fly by Bobby Knoop, but the Yankees pulled even in the fifth with a homer by Roy White, a single by Jim Lyttle and double by Jake Gibbs.
