After Cesar Tovar opened the game with a safe bunt, Dick Bosman did not allow another hit and pitched the Senators to a 1-0 victory over the Twins. The Nats' run off Jim Kaat was unearned in the first inning. With one away, Wayne Comer beat out a bunt and continued to third on a wild throw by Harmon Killebrew. Frank Howard was passed intentionally and when Rick Reichardt forced Howard, Comer crossed the plate. [The Sporting News]
