Chuck Dobson recorded his 15th victory and Mudcat Grant received credit for his 21st save when the Athletics' mound pair combined to beat the Orioles, 4-0. Grant relieved with two men on base and one out in the eighth inning and preserved the shutout. Bert Campaneris, who had three hits, scored two of the A's runs and batted in one.
