The Expos, who had lost nine straight games in Houston since entering the league last season, gained their first victory in the Astrodome, defeating the Astros, 10-2. Rusty Staub hit two homers, his first in Houston since being traded by the Astros to the Expos early in 1969. Adolfo Phillips contributed an inside-the-park homer to the Montreal attack.
