Mike Cuellar pitched a seven-hitter and gained his 17th victory when the Orioles defeated the Athletics, 7-1. Brooks Robinson hit a homer and Andy Etchebarren batted in two runs with a double and single to pace the Orioles to a 4-0 lead before the A's counted in the eighth inning on a single by Rick Monday and double by Tommy Davis.
