Dick McAuliffe and Al Kaline batted in two runs apiece to provide the Tigers with a 5-1 victory over the Angels. A double by McAuliffe led to the Tigers' run on an infield out by Kaline in the first inning. McAuliffe picked up his RBIs with a bases-loaded single in the second, and Kaline homered in the third.
