. . . where the 1970s live forever!
The Senators were stopped on a seven-game winning streak by the Royals, who piled up 11 of their runs in last four innings to gain a 12-8 victory. After rallying for five runs in the sixth, the Royals went into the seventh with a 6-5 lead and got the deciding blow when Bob Oliver hit a homer with two men on base. Lee Maye smashed a three-run homer as a pinch-hitter in the Senators' half, but the Royals added to their lead with three runs in the last two innings. [The Sporting News]
