Although tagged for 13 hits, Juan Marichal lasted the route and pitched the Giants to a 7-4 victory over the Pirates. The Giants, in breaking Luke Walker's personal five-game winning streak, scored twice with the aid of three walks in the first inning and added a pair when Willie Mays drew a pass and Willie McCovey homered in the fifth.
