Homers by Syd O'Brien and Carlos May carried the White Sox to a 3-1 victory over the Senators. O'Brien connected on the first pitch thrown by Casey Cox. May's homer in the sixth inning was his first since July 9. Ken Berry tripled and Tommy McCraw hit a pinch-single for the other run in the seventh.
