Jerry Reuss pitched a two-hitter and the Cardinals beat the Dodgers, 1-0, when Joe Torre smashed a homer off Don Sutton in the ninth inning. The two-hitter was the second in one month for Reuss, who registered his first in a 4-0 victory over the Expos August 9. [The Sporting News]
