Homers by Jim Lefebvre and Willie Davis, each with a man on base, paced the Dodgers to 6-3 and 3-2 victories in a sweep of a twi-night doubleheader with the Braves, whose losing streak was extended to six games. Orlando Cepeda hit a solo swat in each contest for the Braves. The Dodgers took a 3-1 lead in the lidlifter on Lefebvre's round-tripper in the fourth inning and clinched the decision with two more runs in the fifth on a single by Bill Russell, triple by Davis and error by Cepeda.

A pass to Wes Parker and singles by Lefebvre and Willie Crawford in the second inning started the Dodgers' scoring in the nightcap. Ted Sizemore doubled in the third and Davis followed with his circuit clout for the winning blow.
