Although only 4,450 fans were on hand, the Braves went over the million mark in attendance for the fifth straight year and marked the occasion by defeating the Dodgers, 11-4. Hank Aaron homered with two men on base in the third inning and Orlando Cepeda and Clete Boyer each connected with one aboard in the fifth. Aaron scored the 1,798th run of his career in the eighth, tying him with Ted Williams for ninth place on the all-time list. Bill Sudakis and Andy Kosco hit homers for the Dodgers.
