Floyd Wicker, playing in his first game with the Brewers since coming up from Portland (Pacific Coast), drove in a run with a single in the 10th inning to beat the White Sox, 3-2. The Brewers opened the scoring with two runs in the fifth with a double by Phil Roof, singles by Ted Kubiak and Tommy Harper and a sacrifice fly by Russ Snyder. The White Sox pulled even with an unearned pair off Skip Lockwood. Ken Sanders was the winner in relief when Wicker's single plated Harper with one out in the overtime stanza.
