Phil Roof, who has feasted on Twins' pitching this season, batted the Brewers to a 3-2 victory by smashing a homer with a man on base and two out in the ninth inning. The Brewers' catcher had a .429 average against the Twins with five homers. Tony Oliva hit a homer in the eighth to put the Twins ahead, 2-1, but in the ninth Mike Hegan singled with one out.
