Steve Hargan, now 8-1 since being recalled from minors on July 16, yielded only two hits and pitched the Indians to a 3-1 victory over the Yankees, who dropped their fifth straight game. The Yankees' run was unearned. Graig Nettles and Buddy Bradford hit homers in support of Hargan. Nettles also doubled and scored the Indians' final run in the eighth inning. [The Sporting News]
